Rachael’s Family Session: 15.2.20

How special to book a photo session for your Nan! It was a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon at the Secret Gardens in Berkeley Vale – what a lovely backdrop to their photos. These guys were quite the characters and it was easy to get so many kinds of shots including lots of muck about’s which I love!

Family Photo Session for Mark, Belinda and the family: Bateau Bay

My first session for my ‘February is Family Month Special’ which is a half price special I’m offering for existing clients. Belinda and Mark were married almost 3 years ago and have since then had their gorgeous baby boy Reid. Belinda’s sisters Stacey and Natalie who were also in the bridal party have also had babies in that time and as my sessions allow for the extended family, everyone had the opportunity to have their own family photographed and the best thing – it only cost them 60 something bucks per family! Now that’s a win! How adorable are these kids!! Ma and Pa (yes that’s what they call em), were there for photos with the whole family.

Family Photo Session – Bateau Bay: 13.1.20

Before the troops flew home, Kyle contacted me to see if I was available within a few days to photograph the whole family as it’s been 12 years since they’ve been all together! What a lovely afternoon at Bateau Bay Beach. With three high energy gorgeous girls – the session was done within 40 minutes – you’ve got to work fast with kids! Lovely to meet this family and capture these precious moments.

Family Photo Session – Norah Head 11.1.20

A great afternoon photographing Grandma and Grandad with their kids and grandkids. What a nice thing to surprise Mum with for her 70th birthday! She didn’t know what was going on till she got to the location and saw me with the camera. Even the kids managed to keep it a secret.

Archie and Kylie – Norah Head Lighthouse:18.12.19

It’s possible to put together a wedding in no time at all and here is proof. Hats off to Kylie and Archie who put together such a beautiful day at the Norah Head Lighthouse. I was in the right place at the right time when Tracy introduced me to Kylie and Archie after I’d finished shooting my last wedding there on the 7th of December. They were looking to book the grounds and set the date for only 11 days later! With a morning ceremony, the cottage for accomodation, the marquee right out front for the reception, everything was absolutely lovely and so convenient. No time restrictions and I’ve since spoken to Kylie who tells me everyone had a wonderful time and it was great for family who don’t see each other too often to catch up.

It was wonderful to see these two marry after 20 years together, made official by Celebrant Glenda Davison along with their wonderful children and be surrounded by their family and friends.

Congratulations Kylie and Archie – enjoy your slideshow!

Chris and Curess – Norah Head Lighthouse: 7.12.19

How special to renew your wedding vows after ten years married. Chris and Curess married at the Shelly Beach Golf Club on the 5th of December 2009. Their renewal was as much for their children as it was them. They didn’t have a professional photographer on their wedding day, however they did have a friend who took a few photos but this was their chance to have professional photos, and finally be able to have some to hang up at home. Celebrant Edward Taylor married them ten years ago and of he officiated again yesterday. Chris and Curess, thank you for inviting me to photograph your commitment to one another. It was so nice to spend this time with you and the family and I hope you all had a great night celebrating.

Happy 10 years!

Enjoy your sneak peek!

Mitchell and Erin – The Stables of Somersby: 23.11.19

hashtag eringetsmitched! Yes they did! They got hitched at the picturesque ‘The Stables of Somersby’. I was so looking forward to shooting this wedding, once I met these two I knew it was going to be a stress free day with lots of fun and laughs. I was also looking forward to shooting at this amazing venue. I checked it earlier in the week and met the lovely Louise the owner who showed me around. Her and her husband Andrew have transformed their property into the most wonderful wedding venue – so quiet and relaxing. A real country feel. There is also a huge loft above the barn and this is where Erin and the girls got ready.

Erin and Mitch met when she was working at a newsagency and Mitch would come in to get his paper (or was it to secretly see Erin!?!). He asked her out for coffee, at first it wasn’t a great time – she was busy with studies, but he persisted and now look at them – a house together, with their much loved fur babies (check out the donut wall with their photo!), now married – about to embark on another journey.

I truly had the best day with these guys and their bridal party – everyone was so happy and fun loving. The speeches from the parents were so heartfelt and the speech from Best Man Jarrod had everyone in stitches! Mitch finished off his speech with a poem and all I can remember from it was something about their dogs and a bone – everyone there knows what I’m talking about!

Congratulations Burtons – I hope you absolutely love the slideshow I’ve put together for you and Erin, I hope you’ve had a brilliant 30th birthday today.

PS – No I didn’t ask the groomsmen to hold hands – they took that upon themselves ;).

Alex and Chantelle – Kangy Gardens: 16.11.19

Back to the tunnel of love! My new name for the tunnel near Kangy Gardens. Speaking of Kangy Gardens – this was the location Chantelle and Alex decided to get married yesterday. There was definitely a party vibe with this wedding, a ‘few’ drinkies, lots of dancing, shenanigans, and lawn games. Chantelle looked absolutely stunning in a gown I just adore ever since seeing it at Final Touch Bridal.

These two met at Little Kickers and Chantelle’s impression was that he was a great Dad! Fast forward some years later and here they were – getting married with good friends, family and most importantly their much loved kids by their side. It was so sweet to hear Chantelle’s daughter Georgia’s speech, who said just how happy she was for her Mum that she had found Alex and got the happiness she always wanted.  This is what weddings are all about.

Thanks Alex and Chantelle for having me capture this day for you two. Enjoy the slideshow.

No screenshots please – images will be uploaded to my facebook page for sharing and tagging.

Matthew and Samantha – Norah Head Lighthouse & Pullman Magenta Shores: 9.11.19

They met at a soccer game. Matt got called off the field for an eyebrow ring and Sam came to his aid to try and get it out, but only bolt cutters fixed that ;). Fast forward 8 years and here they are – now married and ready to start a new chapter of life.

I learned a little more about their story yesterday and may I say these two have endured so much, however their hardships have created such an evident special bond between them and it was wonderful to see them marry yesterday.

Thank you Sam and Matt for welcoming me into your lives to capture this magical day. To the bridal party – thanks for your antics and for being absolutely amazing. I was so happy to be a part of your day and I may have had a little lump in my throat during some parts of the ceremony and speeches but mostly your happiness and love for each other certainly made me smile and get my ‘money shots’. A Happy Birthday to the groom who also turned 30 yesterday! Tequila shots all round was in order!

Wishing you both a beautiful life together with so much happiness – you two definitely deserve it.

Enjoy your slideshow – images will be uploaded to my facebook page for sharing :).

Terrie and Kristie – Rafferty’s Resort: 8.11.19

Congratulations Terrie and Kristie along with their cutie pie daughter Lacey on tying the knot at Rafferty’s Resort on Friday. I must say from my point of view this wedding was super cruisy and it was all down to great organisation! I even got to share in a beverage with the bridal party between ceremony and reception because we had heaps of time and it was awesome not having to rush!

So how did they meet? Well Kristie was working with Terrie’s sister Natalie who was putting a slideshow together for her Mum’s birthday, and on looking at the photos Natalie had for the slideshow Kristie was having a bit of a perv on her brother in the pics so Natalie invited her to the party. Obviously Terrie liked what he saw too and well…. the rest is history.

A lovely ceremony by Elaine Kramer and check out the entry of the kids in the merc!

What a fabulous day, the room looked amazing thanks to Tracey, the band had everyone out of their seats, and at 9pm the guests were surprised by some spectacular fireworks!

Congratulation to the Dries and wishing you both lots of love, happiness and adventures.
