Laughter, pure excitement, tears, emotional and a whole lot of good stuff is how I’d describe Pru and Matt’s wedding. 

Somewhere with drinks that serves a shnitty, a great atmosphere with a super casual vibe is what this amazing couple wanted, and they found the perfect venue at Murray’s Brewery, Bob’s Farm. Not your everyday standard wedding venue, but with it’s vast outlook over the vineyard, a huge deck for an outdoor reception, it was fabulous. A buffet style dinner, no seating plan (love that), speeches done as soon as reception started, the rest of the night was only for fun, mingling and dancing.. and donuts!

Thank you to Lisa Lent for coming with me to Port Stephens to second shoot. Jeez we work well together, you will notice the difference when having a second shooter and the different angles captured. Not only that, while I’m doing family photos, Lisa shoots lots of photos of the guests. 

We started at The Oaks Resort at Salamander Bay where the preparations were happening. Pru and Matt had planned a first look. I love a first look. It’s a sweet private moment and generally couples feel so much more relaxed for the ceremony. The nerves are gone and I could tell they were well and truly immersed in their ceremony with so many laughs and a few tears through the vows. Great to meet celebrant Cheryl Forbes who did the most amazing job not only as celebrant but stayed on to be MC as well. 

I truly had the most wonderful day. There was a time both Lisa and I were in tears as we witnessed some beautiful moments between Pru and her Dad. These moments really remind me of why I still love doing this after all these years. It’s a privilege to witness such occasions. Great to work with Emily from Emily Drummond Productions and I know she was as excited as I was at what we captured yesterday.

A super fun bridal party,  you all made the day so easy and we thank you for that.
