Krystle and Josh exchanged vows at Upper Mckell Park in Brooklyn on a breathtaking winters day that was more like spring.
What a special way to get married. A quiet park for a morning ceremony surrounded by natural bushland, and with The Anglers Rest Hotel nearby for an afternoon reception, it was a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
I’ve known Krystle since she was a toddler! Her and her brother Luke came into my life when I was around about ten years old. You could say they were my ‘step siblings’ for some time. As life happens, I haven’t seen Krystle in years, and it was a nice surprise when she told me she was getting married and asked if I could photograph it. Of course! Everything was simply lovely and I hear it was the first wedding for The Anglers Rest Hotel. Krystle and Josh had their own private area, and it went off brilliantly.
Since covid, many couples are opting for these kind of low key weddings. Couples are thinking outside the box and changing things up. Morning weddings, family only, and for me, I was there for a few hours – enough to cover the most important stuff.
Well done Krystle and Josh for putting together such a wonderful wedding!
Krystle and Josh – how lovely it was to be a part of your wedding day, as a photographer but also to reconnect and meet your children. Wishing you both every happiness in the world.
