Robbie and Kirsty have such a sweet story of how they met. 

Their journey began when they met at karate around the age of 14. Both were shy and rarely spoke to each other. Kirsty tried adding Robbie on Facebook. A whole year later, he finally accepted—talk about playing hard to get! Hoping to spark a connection, Kirsty messaged Robbie about Star Wars, even though she’d only seen one movie.

At the time, Kirsty lived on the Central Coast, while Robbie was in Lake Macquarie. Despite the distance, they started dating at 17. Their relationship blossomed as they finished high school and went on to study nuclear medicine together at university. For about 4.5 years, they maintained a long-distance relationship before Robbie moved to Cronulla, and Kirsty followed soon after.

On their 6th anniversary, Robbie proposed on a beach at Port Stephens—a beautiful moment captured by one of Robbie’s friends. 

Their wedding was nothing short of wonderful, held at the Mandalong Country Estate. Kirsty and Robbie got ready at the homestead, which conveniently had separate sections to keep the bride and groom apart before the ceremony. This setup also made it easy for Bella, Rob (the amazing videographers), and me to capture the preparations. 

The ceremony overlooked stunning bushland, and Kate Tyler Webber officiated as these two sweethearts exchanged vows. Robbie’s emotional reaction as Kirsty walked down the aisle was so sweet—tears filled his eyes as he watched his bride.

The celebration continued with photos around the property before everyone gathered for a fun reception. Kirsty and Robbie entered the room with gusto – so quick I was clicking away fast! 

Congratulations, Kirsty and Robbie! It’s been an absolute honor to be part of your journey. You two have been so delightful to deal with. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both!
