Terrigal Wedding at Crowne Plaza Terrigal: A Beautiful Day Celebrating Kris and Natalie
What a glorious day celebrating the love of two lovely people with a wedding at Crowne Plaza Terrigal! Kris and Nat’s wedding was truly a reflection of how much they love and care for each other. Their story began in the old-fashioned way—at the pub! (I can relate!). It’s no surprise, given that Nat is refreshingly low-key when it comes to social media.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kris and Natalie in person last year. During our conversation, we chatted about their wedding plans, their jobs, families, and heard of how this relationship came to be. As well as their unforgettable engagement in Paris!I was absolutely thrilled when they decided from our meeting they were booking me in! It’s truly an honour when couples trust me to document such an important event in their lives.
I had the absolute pleasure of capturing their wedding alongside my talented friend Bella Taylor from Bella Photo Art – Photo & Film. We’ve had a blast shooting several weddings together recently. It’s always a breeze with her and second shooter Rob. Even with a tricky timeline for the preparations we managed to keep everything on track and capture every special moment.
The Getting Ready
Our day began with Natalie in the Presidential Suite at Crowne Plaza Terrigal. We grabbed some beautiful detail shots of the dress, rings, and the ladies in their robes. We left the girls to it and we headed to a nearby Airbnb to meet Kris and the groomsmen. After a few photos of Kris and the boys, we were treated to a lively cultural nod to his Egyptian heritage. A drummer and a flutist arrived from ZL Entertainment and the celebration began with dancing in the living room. I think the whole of Terrigal may have heard all the fun. My head nearly blew off my shoulders with the first hit.
After partying our way out on the balcony capturing Kris and his family dancing, we returned to Nat, where she shared a sweet first look with her dad, Noel. The moment he saw her for the first time, tears flowed. The love and pride from him was written all over his face, and I may have welled up myself while capturing it all.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the stunning Meribella Restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal. A vibrant floral arbour with the view of the perfect sunny day. No sooner had the guests sat down, little Henry the Groodle, their adorable ring bearer, arrived with all the excitement of a pup on a mission.
Nat, escorted by her father Noel, looked absolutely gorgeous as she walked down the aisle toward Kris. Pastor Daniel did a wonderful job officiating. Before they headed off to be congratulated we did a quick shot of the whole bridal party including Henry the ring bearer. He’s such a good boy.
Bridal Party Photos in the Pre Function Room and at Terrigal Haven
After the ceremony, we grabbed some cool shots of the bridal party in the pre function area at Crowne Plaza Terrigal. Hats off to Bella for recommending photos and video in there because I am loving these bridal party photos! What a vibe.
Kris and Nat asked to have some of their wedding photos with an ocean backdrop, so I packed them into the Hyundai and we headed up the road. The coastline of Terrigal did not disappoint! It was the most beautiful day and every man and his dog was there (quite literally considering we did photos at the dog park!). We struggled with the wind and Nat’s gorgeous long blonde hair but there is something about windblown hair that I absolutely love in photos.
Bella got the drone out and captured amazing footage as Kris and Nat walked the path along the Terrigal Coastline.
The Reception: A Beautiful Transformation
As the evening rolled in, the stunning Meribella Restaurant at Crowne Plaza Terrigal that was used for the ceremony was transformed for the reception. As it was the last night of daylight saving it was a pretty view as the sun went down.
We heard lovely speeches by the MC Chad, Maid of Honour and Best Man, two very proud Dads, and of course Kris the groom.
The reception at Crowne Plaza Terrigal was a perfect blend of elegance and warmth. Kris and Nat danced their first dance, and as the night went on, the laughter, joy, and celebration continued. The evening was filled with music, dancing, and it was clear that everyone was there to celebrate Kris and Nat’s love in a way that was uniquely theirs.
What a stunning Crowne Plaza Terrigal Wedding it was. The weather couldn’t have been any better. A true celebration of love, family, and the beauty of the Central Coast. It was an honour to be part of Kris and Nat’s journey and to capture such a special day alongside Bella Photo Art – Photo & Film.
