Rachel’s grandparents property was the perfect choice for a couple who wanted a low key and casual lunch wedding.

I share a few connections with Ryan and Rachel. I had the honour of photographing Rachel’s uncle and aunt’s wedding eight years ago, and Ryan even worked with my husband at one stage. To top it off, I spotted one of my former brides with her mum at the wedding—it’s moments like these that show just how small and intertwined life is on the Central Coast. After 14 years as a Central Coast Wedding Photographer, I feel like I’ve met half of the Central Coast in one way or another

This family property holds a legacy of love, making it the perfect choice for Rachel and Ryan’s special day. Notably, it had already witnessed Rachel’s parents, Grant and Paula, exchange vows 30 years ago. The ceremony was both wonderful and heartfelt, set against the beautiful triangular arbour adorned with stunning florals by Lavender Lane Floral Creations. Ryan and Rachel were united by Bec Page of the Love Page (great play on words there!), whose warm and bubbly presence made the ceremony even more special. As the ceremony unfolded, we listened to the story of how Ryan and Rachel came to be.

The Vows

Ryan’s love for mountain biking found its way into his vows, filled with clever anecdotes that brought laughter and knowing smiles to those who knew him well. The moment they stepped down the aisle, they were momentarily lost in a whirlwind of confetti! Sure enough they reappeared to be congratulated by their many family and friends.

A marquee reception just steps away featuring a grazing table and buffet-style lunch, Rachel and Ryan’s wedding was everything they could have hoped for.

In between mingling and lunch, I took Ryan and Rachel for photos of the two of them. Since Grant and Paula were married on the same property, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture a photo of them in front of the same tree where they had posed on their wedding day. It was a beautiful nod to the past and a reminder of how love and memories can come full circle.
