Amidst the trees, high upon a rock, Jo and Andrew made a heartfelt commitment in front of their family, friends, and the neighbours of Congewai Valley.
Their property, aptly named ‘Mount D’Amore,’ meaning Mountain of Love, truly lived up to its name as it hosted this special wedding ceremony and an afternoon filled with love, laughter and celebration.
On their neighbouring property is where I first started with Jo, and soon after, Andrew arrived. I captured the special moment when they saw each other all dressed up for the first time. After some photos on this breathtaking country property, Jo and Andrew enjoyed a scenic helicopter ride, overlooking the valley.
Just ten minutes down the road, I arrived at Jo and Andrew’s property and saw ‘The Rock,’ where they would soon exchange their vows. Their children had the honour of walking them down the aisle.
Andrew’s brother, Matthew, officiated the ceremony, making it even more special to have a family member play such an important role in bringing these two together.
It was a day with a few showers, but luck was on our side as the ceremony finished just as the rain began to fall while Jo and Andrew headed down to sign the certificate. We moved into the marquee for the signing, and before long, the rain passed, allowing us to step outside and capture the breathtaking view.
For Jo and Andrew it was about capturing the spirit of the day through candid-style photos, and I sincerely hope that the love, fun, and the sense of community shines through. Have to give a shout out to the ten peice band who were absolutely brilliant – Congewai locals.
Congratulations Jo and Andrew on your lovely country wedding – I’m sure that rock on Mount D’Amore will forever be that little extra special. Wishing you all the best for the future and making more wonderful memories with your family and friends.
