Damo and Tylah’s love story began the modern way, on Hinge!
After chatting online for about a week, Damo planned a beautiful picnic for their first date. That day brought us to this point. A beautifully planned wedding at the lovely Rafferty’s Resort.
The Day at Rafferty’s Resort
Their Rafferty’s Resort Wedding was everything a Lake Macquarie Wedding should be – relaxed, beautiful, and full of heart.
Although the weather brought the ceremony indoors, it was extra cosy and we all snuggled in as we watched this stunner Tylah with the biggest smile, walk down the aisle. Damo’s face lit up as she walked down with her proud Dad.
Sam the celebrant told the story of how their love came to be , from their first messages to their life filled with their fur friends.
Outdoor Moments by the Lake
Once the rain cleared, we headed outdoors to capture photos by the lake.
We made the most of the sunshine and calm after some rain. What is going on with the weather lately?!? One day it’s 35c the next it’s in the teens! Temperature wise, November 1 2025 was perfect.
Photos on the jetty (while dodging duck poo!), followed by a play on the swing and a glowing sunset session we ducked out (pardon the pun) during reception.
Bella and Rob from Bella Photo Art captured every moment on video, from laughter to tears and everything in between.
Family, Love, and Laughter
It was clear how loved these two are.
During the speeches, their parents, siblings and friends shared heartfelt stories that had everyone smiling.
The reception kicked off with early parent dances — a sweet father–daughter dance and mother–son dance that brought a few happy tears.
The Sparkle and the Laughs
Tylah’s dress was something special.
Covered in glitter with a detachable skirt, it shimmered in the sunlight , she literally sparkled. Much like her warm personality. I knew from the moment I met these two at our engagement session, they were going to be an absolute joy to capture. They are fun, warm, kind and considerate. The kind of people who make others feel good being around them, and they are not afraid to be their true selves in front of the camera and as a photographer – that’s the best thing. Capturing people’s true character.
A Celebration to Remember
Damo and Tylah’s Rafferty’s Resort Wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are – fun, loving, and surrounded by family.
It was a day full of joy, laughter, and a touch of sparkle over beautiful Lake Macquarie.
Congratulations Tylah and Damo, this is just a small glimpse of your wedding! So many beautiful moments and I’m honoured to be the one to have captured your love and happiness.
