A Glenworth Valley Valentine’s Day Wedding

Jodie and Ted exchanged vows at the stunning lookout at Glenworth Valley.

Ted and Jodie’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect. With Valentine’s Day falling near their first date anniversary, what better occasion to celebrate their love than on the most romantic day of the year? Plus, no one should forget an anniversary! The lookout at Glenworth Valley so picturesque.

I’m certain Jodie and Ted’s faces must have been sore from smiling all day. As I look back at the images, it’s not just them—it’s the pure joy reflected in the faces of everyone around them. It was a truly heartfelt and happy day to capture.

What made it even more special was having their children as their ‘support crew’. Allysa, Sean, Brad, and Jake are a wonderful bunch, each contributing to the day in a meaningful way. Brad walked his mum down the aisle, Jake presented the rings, and Sean, Brad, and Allysa delivered heartfelt speeches. There was a few moments of the day I caught their sweet expressions as they looked at their parents and had a little tear during the ceremony.

Making the commitment

Jodie and Ted exchanged vows at the stunning lookout at Glenworth Valley. I was working alongside my good friend Fiona Rogers, who was both their celebrant and hair and makeup artist. We make such a great team. I’ve worked with Fiona so often that I can almost anticipate her every move during a ceremony, and love the warm atmosphere she creates. But when she announced Ted’s name as ‘Damian,’ I thought ‘who is this Damian she speaks of’. Turns out, Ted is just a nickname, and I quickly learned that no one actually calls him by his real name. Only when they want to stir him up ;). And there was a bit of that going on – what are mates for!

Running of the Horses at Glenworth Valley

After the ceremony at the lookout at Glenworth Valley , guests mingled over drinks and a beautifully set grazing table before we made our way to one of my favorite parts of a wedding here—the running of the horses. There’s something truly magical about the sound of 200+ horses galloping past, kicking up the dust.

The celebration continued into the reception with plenty of laughter, heartfelt speeches, and even a few “worms” on the dance floor.  Ted and Jodie wowed everyone with their first dance, along with the awesome sounds of the Jackson Broadway – Live Music Wedding Band. A special shout-out to Jodie for creating the LOVE sign, lights and all—each letter filled with photos: one of Jodie, one of Ted, one of them together, and one featuring all their guests. What a beautiful way to make everyone feel special—just a reflection of the kind, thoughtful people they are.

Ted and Jodie, thank you for having me along for such an unforgettable day. Wishing you a lifetime filled with love, caravanning, Fords, gardening, and all the things that you LOVE.

All the best

Jodie 2 😉
