Photographing weddings in the Hunter Valley is always a favourite of mine.
Ed & Taylor were married in the picturesque chapel of Peppers Creek.
Nicky Surnicky from Marry Me Nicky was their amazing celebrant. Nicky beautifully shared the story of Taylor and Ed, explaining how we all came to be there with them at that moment. Their meeting was definitely unique. In 2020, both studying to be history teachers were on a university foreign exchange program in Israel. It’s easy to imagine them discovering buried treasure when they first met—at least that’s how I picture it in my head! 😉
Before their wedding day, I hadn’t met Taylor and Ed, so I was stepping into the unknown. But there was nothing to worry about—they are warm, friendly, and truly wonderful people. This warmth extends to their family and friends, who I had the pleasure of chatting with and sharing some laughs.
Capturing this wedding was an absolute joy. I adore the Peppers Creek Barrel Room for its rustic charm and unique features. The textured walls in the chapel photograph beautifully, especially in black and white. It’s truly a special venue.
Congratulations, Ed and Taylor! It was an honor to photograph such a beautiful wedding, but more importantly, to capture the spirit of two incredible people.
Wishing you all the very best as you begin your married life together.
With love,
Jodie.
