Kooindah Waters Resort Wedding

A wonderful display of love colour culture and joyfulness at Mecure Kooindah Waters. That is the best way to describe Esther and Sebastian’s wedding day.

I met the lovely Esther at an expo earlier this year and she was very much in the early stages of planning her wedding. After choosing her date and venue she booked me in and boy, I am so happy she did. I’ve been shooting weddings for around twelve years now and as much as I love our traditions, I enjoy capturing something a little different.

You can see the traditional sari’s on some of the guests and Esther wore the most beautiful wedding dress (thank you Kel-Leigh Couture!), however she also changed into a lehenga for the reception. The colours, the bling, the sparkles….

We had the most sweetest little ring bearers, Seb’s Mum’s much loved dogs, Jupiter and Norton who walked down the aisle with rings secured. Grahame Crossing performed a wonderful ceremony with emphasis on Christian values with a prayer and a lovely reading.

Our beautiful bride was able to keep secret that she was singing to Seb during the ceremony and with the help of Pati Telea Music who was providing the tunes, she really did a wonderful job. She’s a brave lady.

Esther had her dearest friend Aarthi as her bridesmaid and her beaming smile all day for her friend was just so genuine and full of love. It took me till the reception to work out who Aarthi reminded me of – Jessica Mauboy! Esther tells me they call her the Sri Lankan Jess!

What a reception, I’ve never seen so much wonderful dancing!
