Congratulations Rhys and Maddie! What an absolutely amazing wedding to photograph! I love The Stables of Somersby – it is an all in one. The barn for your reception and the gorgeous spacious loft upstairs to get ready. A pretty ceremony spot, an undercover area for your guests to enjoy canapés and drinks. It has such a nice feel about it. 

I met Rhys a few years back when I photographed his Mum’s wedding and was lovely to hear from him when he contacted me about his and Maddie’s upcoming wedding. Upon meeting I heard about how they met and were together straight from high school, however it wasn’t the right time and after 5 years apart, they made their way back to each other when someone hacked Maddie’s facebook and sent Rhys some porn!! Haha…. and that’s how they rekindled again. I really think they need to thank that internet hacker ;). This was mentioned during the ceremony (and shout out to Haley and Chris from Love Note Ceremonies, who delivered a beautiful ceremony and Chris playing guitar). 

It’s always nice to see strong relationships between family and there was plenty of that here. Maddie’s twin brother Nick’s reaction when he seen her as a bride, brought tears to my eyes and he also gave her away. Just quietly I think Nick loves Rhys just as much as Maddie. 

I could go on and on, however I will hope these photos are enough to clearly see how special this day really was. 

Thanks for having me Rhys and Maddie. You guys made me feel so welcome as well as your family and friends. It was a pleasure to spend this day with you all.
