From our very first conversation, I knew Alex and Ali were something special, two people who were kind, fun, and full of warmth. Their Central Coast Wedding was a true reflection of who they are: joyful, welcoming, and surrounded by people who adore them. The energy of the day had me shooting on rapid fire. Smiles, laughter, and proud glances, everything a wedding should be.

A Heartfelt Ceremony at Somersby Gardens Estate

The day began with a beautiful country-style ceremony at Somersby Gardens Estate, a stunning Central Coast location surrounded by greenery and nature. It was the perfect backdrop for Alex and Ali to exchange their vows. With so many picturesque spots across the property, it offers endless opportunities for beautiful wedding photography.

Coastal Celebrations at Avoca Beach

With a special connection to Avoca, it was only fitting that Alex and Ali chose Avoca Beach SLSC for their reception. Moving from the rustic charm of the mountains to the relaxed coastal vibe gave their wedding the best of both worlds.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the dance floor opened with a fully choreographed first dance. Think twirls, spins, lifts and the kind of moves that had guests cheering.

As a Central Coast photographer, I love when couples throw in personal touches, and these two did not disappoint. Their cake topper was literally “them”, a mini Alex and Ali perched on top. Ali had kept it under wraps from Alex, because the topper revealed exactly what her wedding dress looked like.

Thoughtful Details That Made It Personal

One of the most beautiful touches of the reception was Ali’s personalised hand-drawn name cards. She had created a little sketch of every guest based on a photo. Imagine walking into a wedding reception and finding a miniature portrait of yourself waiting at your seat. I could only imagine the time she put into this considering they had around 150 guests!

It’s thoughtful details like these that show just how much love and effort Alex and Ali poured into making their wedding day unforgettable for everyone involved.

To Alex and Ali’s bridal party, thank you for bringing so much fun to the day! Your cheekiness, laughter, and genuine love for your friends added so much personality to the photos.
