I was lucky enough to meet this gorgeous couple when I was exhibiting at an expo in January 2020, they booked me in for their September 2021 wedding.

Unfortunately they were one of my many couples affected by covid so the date was changed to the 18th March 2022. Both dates were significant. The 3rd of September was in honour of Megan’s grandparents anniversary and yesterday was Nathan’s parents anniversary. What a lovely tribute to family. 

I stopped by Nathan’s room at Magenta Shores for just a couple of casual shots and had a laugh at Megan’s wedding day gifts for Nathan. I love a girl who is a bit of a goof, her amazing selfie on a t-shirt and on his underwear haha.  Also a box with printed photos of the two of them with a message on the back. 

I really could rave on and on about yesterday, there were so many special moments.

One in particular that made us all a little teary was when Megan’s Mum Grace said in her speech that Nathan had arranged for Megan’s Nonno to say a few words on camera as he was unable to attend their September wedding. Since then, Nonno has passed away so you can imagine Megan’s reaction. Nonno appeared on the projector and he had a little message for his granddaughter. This was really special. Nathan you are a sweetheart for organising this. 

I hope these photos really capture the vibe of the day – I think their smiles say it all. I love a groom who wears his heart on his sleeve and isn’t afraid to tear up, that’s what it’s all about. Some very proud parents of these two, and looking at the photos of Megan being walked down the aisle from her parents, well I can feel the excitement. 

What a beautiful day – it took a while guys, but it was worth it. Totally and completely wonderful, thanks for having me be a part of it. 

Oh and PS – Sarah I told you it’s funnier to leave the veil thrower in the shot! 😉
