Chris & Curess – Norah Head Lighthouse: 7.12.19

How special to renew your wedding vows after ten years married. Chris and Curess married at the Shelly Beach Golf Club on the 5th of December 2009. Their renewal was as much for their children as it was them. They didn’t have a professional photographer on their wedding day, however they did have a friend who took a few photos but this was their chance to have professional photos, and finally be able to have some to hang up at home. Celebrant Edward Taylor married them ten years ago and of he officiated again yesterday. Chris and Curess, thank you for inviting me to photograph your commitment to one another. It was so nice to spend this time with you and the family and I hope you all had a great night celebrating.

Happy 10 years!

Enjoy your sneak peak!

Mitchell & Erin – The Stables of Somersby: 23.11.19

hashtag eringetsmitched! Yes they did! They got hitched at the picturesque ‘The Stables of Somersby’. I was so looking forward to shooting this wedding, once I met these two I knew it was going to be a stress free day with lots of fun and laughs. I was also looking forward to shooting at this amazing venue. I checked it earlier in the week and met the lovely Louise the owner who showed me around. Her and her husband Andrew have transformed their property into the most wonderful wedding venue – so quiet and relaxing. A real country feel. There is also a huge loft above the barn and this is where Erin and the girls got ready.

Erin and Mitch met when she was working at a newsagency and Mitch would come in to get his paper (or was it to secretly see Erin!?!). He asked her out for coffee, at first it wasn’t a great time – she was busy with studies, but he persisted and now look at them – a house together, with their much loved fur babies (check out the donut wall with their photo!), now married – about to embark on another journey.

I truly had the best day with these guys and their bridal party – everyone was so happy and fun loving. The speeches from the parents were so heartfelt and the speech from Best Man Jarrod had everyone in stitches! Mitch finished off his speech with a poem and all I can remember from it was something about their dogs and a bone – everyone there knows what I’m talking about!

Congratulations Burtons – I hope you absolutely love the slideshow I’ve put together for you and Erin, I hope you’ve had a brilliant 30th birthday today.

PS – No I didn’t ask the groomsmen to hold hands – they took that upon themselves ;).

Alex & Chantelle – Kangy Gardens: 16.11.19

Back to the tunnel of love! My new name for the tunnel near Kangy Gardens. Speaking of Kangy Gardens – this was the location Chantelle and Alex decided to get married yesterday. There was definitely a party vibe with this wedding, a ‘few’ drinkies, lots of dancing, shenanigans, and lawn games. Chantelle looked absolutely stunning in a gown I just adore ever since seeing it at Final Touch Bridal.

These two met at Little Kickers and Chantelle’s impression was that he was a great Dad! Fast forward some years later and here they were – getting married with good friends, family and most importantly their much loved kids by their side. It was so sweet to hear Chantelle’s daughter Georgia’s speech, who said just how happy she was for her Mum that she had found Alex and got the happiness she always wanted.  This is what weddings are all about.

Thanks Alex and Chantelle for having me capture this day for you two. Enjoy the slideshow.

No screenshots please – images will be uploaded to my facebook page for sharing and tagging.

Matthew & Samantha – Norah Head Lighthouse & Pullman Magenta Shores: 9.11.19

They met at a soccer game. Matt got called off the field for an eyebrow ring and Sam came to his aid to try and get it out, but only bolt cutters fixed that ;). Fast forward 8 years and here they are – now married and ready to start a new chapter of life.

I learned a little more about their story yesterday and may I say these two have endured so much, however their hardships have created such an evident special bond between them and it was wonderful to see them marry yesterday.

Thank you Sam and Matt for welcoming me into your lives to capture this magical day. To the bridal party – thanks for your antics and for being absolutely amazing. I was so happy to be a part of your day and I may have had a little lump in my throat during some parts of the ceremony and speeches but mostly your happiness and love for each other certainly made me smile and get my ‘money shots’. A Happy Birthday to the groom who also turned 30 yesterday! Tequila shots all round was in order!

Wishing you both a beautiful life together with so much happiness – you two definitely deserve it.

Enjoy your slideshow – images will be uploaded to my facebook page for sharing :).

Steve & Robyn – Secret Gardens Exclusive Weddings: 3.11.19

Today Steve and Robyn renewed their vows at the most stunning location with only Robyn’s dad and their children and their families in attendance. My gosh this was so lovely to photograph and once again I was welling up as I watched them get all emotional as they said heartfelt vows once again to each other. This was such a lovely thing to do and a real honour to witness it. Steve was fighting off the tears as he watched his wife and children walk towards him. Fiona Rogers delivered a wonderful ceremony where the grandchildren were involved in pouring the sand in for the sand ceremony. Lots of family photos here and of course a few photos of Robyn and Steve around this wonderful venue at Berkeley Vale.

Enjoy your little sneak peak.

Daniel & Jessica – Shelly Beach Golf Club: 2.11.19

They met how a lot of people meet these days and all I can say is how wonderful it is that they did. Yesterday saw Daniel and Jess say ‘I do’ in front of family and friends on a sunny spring day with a lovely breeze (I’m being sarcastic here) it was windy as hell! Jess looked absolutely stunning and I was excited to see Daniel’s face when he saw her. I did an engagement session for these guys a few months ago and I just love the way they look at each other, and it was like that again yesterday.

Often my weddings are from recommendations and it’s thanks to Tania who was a bridesmaid that referred me to Jess and I’m so thankful for this because yesterday was so lovely to photograph. So many things I loved about this wedding – the fact the girls rocked up in the Shelly Beach Courto, one of their engagement photos was used as the seating plan and it looked amazing, the hoops the girls made the night before with the flower instead of bouquets, those paper things we used to make in school (not sure what you call them), they were the name cards and you opened it up and the menu was inside, the kmart shoes Jess changed into for reception, the shirt Jess’ Dad was wearing with her artwork and the beautiful speech about her son from Daniel’s Mum that had me thinking ‘I’m so gonna be that Mum when my son get’s married’ so proud… I could go on. But mostly it was all about the love between these two. Thanks to the bridal party and for Paula who was in the background with her antics getting the giggles.

Thanks Jess and Daniel – I’ve loved getting to know you and share this day with you guys. Enjoy your sneak peak. Don’t worry about screenshots – these will be uploaded to my facebook page.

A Hidden Gem On The Coast – Secret Garden Exclusive Weddings!

Meet Yufei!

Her and her husband Ty are the owners of this absolutely stunning property a hop, skip and a jump away from my home in Berkeley Vale. I met Yufei at an expo when she was introducing herself to local wedding suppliers. At that time she was telling me her plans for her property and turning it into a wedding venue and today I got to see how gorgeous this place really is! I drive past this area all the time however it’s private and you can’t see it from the road. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I drove in to see this amazing view. Today I spent a couple of hours with Yufei, talking about her plans for weddings here – she even showed me a model of how it will look. I was super excited to learn the Central Coast has another amazing venue but I don’t think a lot of people know about it yet which is why I wanted to do this post. Don’t get me wrong, you can book in your wedding now and the last wedding here had a marquee. It was great to chat with Yufei today, she’s so easy to talk too and not only did we talk about weddings, we ended up talking about our kids and families. She’s so friendly and welcoming that I know couples will absolutely love dealing with her. I’m back there on Sunday for a vow renewal. Can’t wait for that!

James & Emma – Kangy Gardens: 26.10.19

Congratulations to James and Emma who tied the knot at the stunning Kangy Gardens on a windy spring day. These two met playing in the under 11’s soccer and although James was a year younger, I was told by his Mum he skipped a year and ended up in the same year as Emma. They went to the same high school and were good mates – one of those situations where their friends were just waiting for them to officially get together because they all knew it was gonna happen – and it did, right after schoolies.

Yesterday was wonderful – despite some nasty gale force winds, we were somewhat protected at Kangy Gardens – and thankfully the venue has a really nice chapel for the ceremony. By the time the ceremony was done, the winds really had settled and we got lots of pics with family and friends and bridal party photos. The vibe was so relaxed, canapés and grazing tables, sit inside the marquee or outside and enjoy the spring weather. With live music playing, the sounds of laughter of conversation – it was a perfect day.

I have to admit – I may have got a little watery eyed as I photographed James as he was waiting for Emma to appear at the end of the aisle. As I was leaving I was having a chat with his Mum who told me that she has always told her children – there is strength in showing emotion and crying. I honestly couldn’t agree more. Why hold it in? Sometimes a moment means so much that you can’t hold back the tears and these are the moments I absolutely love to capture with my camera.

Enjoy the slideshow – no screenshots please – I’ll upload these images to my facebook page and sharing from there is very welcome.

Brad & Sam – Gracelands Forresters Beach: 19.10.19

The high school sweethearts got hitched at Gracelands Forresters Beach! I started off with the girls at Sam’s who lives about a 10 second drive away from me (bonus!). I was welcomed by the most loveliest bridesmaids and Sam’s Mum Wanda who all looked absolutely stunning thanks to Nicole Parker who did make up and also provided Sam with that amazing dress (check out Final Touch Bridal!). After shooting the girls, I headed over to Gracelands as the guests were starting to arrive. As always the venue looked great, and I have to give a shout out to Mimosa floral design for the truly spectacular arbour flowers and the bouquets were perfection. The colours in these photos are so vibrant. Transportation provided by Andy with the kombi’s, and after a few quick pics out the front, the girls then walked down the aisle followed by Sam and her Pop. A beautiful ceremony by Hayley of Love notes ceremonies accompanied by her husband Chris who provided the wonderful live music. We headed up to Crackneck for bridal party photos and back to the venue where MC/DJ Mitch from 5 entertainment had it all under control. A truly wonderful atmosphere, great music, awesome food and a newly wedded couple having an absolutely brilliant time.

Thanks for having me you two, have a fabulous honeymoon and enjoy the sneak peak!

Chris & Lauren – Norah Head and North Entrance SLSC: 12.10.19

I loved putting this slideshow together! It’s quite a long one because there’s so much I want to share about this day. It was wonderfully joyful, with happy fun-loving people. Lauren and Chris tied the knot at Cliff Street Reserve on an overcast day – it was one of those days – is it going to rain or not and  the decision to be made ‘should we still go ahead outside’ – they did and it was the right decision! A tiny bit of rain during the ceremony but really hardly anything at all. I started with Lauren and the girls who all looked absolutely stunning, and headed over to the ceremony for photos of Chris and the boys – these guys definitely didn’t need me to tell them what to do for photos – they were being themselves, having a great time, laughing and enjoying every minute of the day and maybe a sneaky drink from the hip flask (yeah I saw ya’s)! Lauren arrived in a limo with the girls, and was walked down the aisle by her Dad and Grandad, very special indeed. Chris was all smiles and welled up when he saw his kids and his beautiful bride. A wonderful ceremony by Denise Butler, personal vows (some not appropriate to write here haha), and two people now ecstatic to be married! After some photos at Norah Head, we headed to the reception which included some pretty epic moves as the bridal party entered, followed by a night of fun and dancing.

Mr and Mrs Hitch, it was a real honour to capture you guys getting hitched. A huge congratulations from me and thank you for having me be a part of this fabulous day!
