Steve and Robyn – Secret Gardens Exclusive Weddings: 3.11.19

Today Steve and Robyn renewed their vows at the most stunning location with only Robyn’s dad and their children and their families in attendance. My gosh this was so lovely to photograph and once again I was welling up as I watched them get all emotional as they said heartfelt vows once again to each other. This was such a lovely thing to do and a real honour to witness it. Steve was fighting off the tears as he watched his wife and children walk towards him. Fiona Rogers delivered a wonderful ceremony where the grandchildren were involved in pouring the sand in for the sand ceremony. Lots of family photos here and of course a few photos of Robyn and Steve around this wonderful venue at Berkeley Vale.

Enjoy your little sneak peak.

Daniel and Jessica – Shelly Beach Golf Club: 2.11.19

They met how a lot of people meet these days and all I can say is how wonderful it is that they did. Yesterday saw Daniel and Jess say ‘I do’ in front of family and friends on a sunny spring day with a lovely breeze (I’m being sarcastic here) it was windy as hell! Jess looked absolutely stunning and I was excited to see Daniel’s face when he saw her. I did an engagement session for these guys a few months ago and I just love the way they look at each other, and it was like that again yesterday.

Often my weddings are from recommendations and it’s thanks to Tania who was a bridesmaid that referred me to Jess and I’m so thankful for this because yesterday was so lovely to photograph. So many things I loved about this wedding – the fact the girls rocked up in the Shelly Beach Courto, one of their engagement photos was used as the seating plan and it looked amazing, the hoops the girls made the night before with the flower instead of bouquets, those paper things we used to make in school (not sure what you call them), they were the name cards and you opened it up and the menu was inside, the kmart shoes Jess changed into for reception, the shirt Jess’ Dad was wearing with her artwork and the beautiful speech about her son from Daniel’s Mum that had me thinking ‘I’m so gonna be that Mum when my son get’s married’ so proud… I could go on. But mostly it was all about the love between these two. Thanks to the bridal party and for Paula who was in the background with her antics getting the giggles.

Thanks Jess and Daniel – I’ve loved getting to know you and share this day with you guys. Enjoy your sneak peak. Don’t worry about screenshots – these will be uploaded to my facebook page.

Family Photo Session at Shelly Beach: 28.10.19

Happy Birthday to Sue who was gifted with a family photo session! What a fun afternoon with this group – the whole family was full of smiles, lots of giggles (especially the birthday girl!) and clear to see what a close family they are. I think these guys ended up with nearly 180 photos from their session! Now which ones to print ??

A Hidden Gem On The Coast – Secret Garden Exclusive Weddings!

Meet Yufei!

Her and her husband Ty are the owners of this absolutely stunning property a hop, skip and a jump away from my home in Berkeley Vale. I met Yufei at an expo when she was introducing herself to local wedding suppliers. At that time she was telling me her plans for her property and turning it into a wedding venue and today I got to see how gorgeous this place really is! I drive past this area all the time however it’s private and you can’t see it from the road. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I drove in to see this amazing view. Today I spent a couple of hours with Yufei, talking about her plans for weddings here – she even showed me a model of how it will look. I was super excited to learn the Central Coast has another amazing venue but I don’t think a lot of people know about it yet which is why I wanted to do this post. Don’t get me wrong, you can book in your wedding now and the last wedding here had a marquee. It was great to chat with Yufei today, she’s so easy to talk too and not only did we talk about weddings, we ended up talking about our kids and families. She’s so friendly and welcoming that I know couples will absolutely love dealing with her. I’m back there on Sunday for a vow renewal. Can’t wait for that!

James and Emma – Kangy Gardens: 26.10.19

Congratulations to James and Emma who tied the knot at the stunning Kangy Gardens on a windy spring day. These two met playing in the under 11’s soccer and although James was a year younger, I was told by his Mum he skipped a year and ended up in the same year as Emma. They went to the same high school and were good mates – one of those situations where their friends were just waiting for them to officially get together because they all knew it was gonna happen – and it did, right after schoolies.

Yesterday was wonderful – despite some nasty gale force winds, we were somewhat protected at Kangy Gardens – and thankfully the venue has a really nice chapel for the ceremony. By the time the ceremony was done, the winds really had settled and we got lots of pics with family and friends and bridal party photos. The vibe was so relaxed, canapés and grazing tables, sit inside the marquee or outside and enjoy the spring weather. With live music playing, the sounds of laughter of conversation – it was a perfect day.

I have to admit – I may have got a little watery eyed as I photographed James as he was waiting for Emma to appear at the end of the aisle. As I was leaving I was having a chat with his Mum who told me that she has always told her children – there is strength in showing emotion and crying. I honestly couldn’t agree more. Why hold it in? Sometimes a moment means so much that you can’t hold back the tears and these are the moments I absolutely love to capture with my camera.

Brad & Sam – Gracelands Forresters Beach: 19.10.19

The high school sweethearts got hitched at Gracelands Forresters Beach! I started off with the girls at Sam’s who lives about a 10 second drive away from me (bonus!). I was welcomed by the most loveliest bridesmaids and Sam’s Mum Wanda who all looked absolutely stunning thanks to Nicole Parker who did make up and also provided Sam with that amazing dress (check out Final Touch Bridal!). After shooting the girls, I headed over to Gracelands as the guests were starting to arrive. As always the venue looked great, and I have to give a shout out to Mimosa floral design for the truly spectacular arbour flowers and the bouquets were perfection. The colours in these photos are so vibrant. Transportation provided by Andy with the kombi’s, and after a few quick pics out the front, the girls then walked down the aisle followed by Sam and her Pop. A beautiful ceremony by Hayley of Love notes ceremonies accompanied by her husband Chris who provided the wonderful live music. We headed up to Crackneck for bridal party photos and back to the venue where MC/DJ Mitch from 5 entertainment had it all under control. A truly wonderful atmosphere, great music, awesome food and a newly wedded couple having an absolutely brilliant time.

Thanks for having me you two, have a fabulous honeymoon and enjoy the sneak peak!

Conor & Elise – King Edward Park & The Beach Hotel, Merewhether: 18.10.19

There is success in speed dating and these two are proof! I always love to hear how couples meet and this is the first wedding I’ve photographed where the couple met on a speed date. They knew from then, they were on the same wave length and shared a similar sense of humour. Right place, right time! Conor and Elise got married on a perfect spring day at King Edward Park surrounded by friends and family with celebrant Nell Dark-Jones sealing the deal! Photos were done around the park and some over at the ever popular shack on scenic drive. Great to work with videographer Andrew from Bowline Media again and I can’t wait to see a little clip of their day. A wonderful reception was waiting for them at The Beach Hotel Merewhether with good friend Jackie taking on the gig as MC and what a brilliant job she did! Everyone clearly had a brilliant time celebrating this special day for Mr and Mrs Doherty!

Elise and Conor, it was wonderful to be a part of your day, thank you for choosing me to capture it for you. Wishing you both all the love and happiness in the world! Have a fabulous honeymoon – have a cocktail for me!

Tim & Lexi – Pines Picnic Area, The Watagans: 13.10.19

Yesterday it finally happened for Tim and Lexi! These guys were originally getting married last year however as Celebrant Jo from Vows Now put it during the ceremony ‘Tim’s kidney’s had other ideas’. With an operation for Tim, the wedding had to be postponed. So yesterday was the day, the same day it was meant to be last year where these two became Mr and Mrs. The girls were getting ready early with hair and make up by the talented Fiona Rogers as they prepared for a lunch time ceremony which was held in the stunning location in The Watagans. I’d never shot here before, so I took a drive up a month ago to suss it out, however it transformed yesterday with the set up looking absolutely awesome with marquees and plenty of food set out as a big grazing table. It really was a picnic wedding in The Pines! The decorations were lovely with pots of coloured flowers, a photo wall, a royal like chair and a cake of Krispy Cremes! There was no rain (thank the Lord), and lucky for those denim jackets because it was a tad chilly! I loved hearing the story of Lexi and Tim, how she didn’t really like him that much in the beginning, put him in the friend zone but he ended up being the man of her dreams. Check out their fur babies in the bridal party ‘Helga and Boofy’ and how awesome everyone in the converse high tops!

Congratulations Lexi and Tim. Wishing you two wonderful people a magical life together. Enjoy your sneak peak!

Chris & Lauren – Norah Head and North Entrance SLSC: 12.10.19

I loved putting this slideshow together! It’s quite a long one because there’s so much I want to share about this day. It was wonderfully joyful, with happy fun-loving people. Lauren and Chris tied the knot at Cliff Street Reserve on an overcast day – it was one of those days – is it going to rain or not and  the decision to be made ‘should we still go ahead outside’ – they did and it was the right decision! A tiny bit of rain during the ceremony but really hardly anything at all. I started with Lauren and the girls who all looked absolutely stunning, and headed over to the ceremony for photos of Chris and the boys – these guys definitely didn’t need me to tell them what to do for photos – they were being themselves, having a great time, laughing and enjoying every minute of the day and maybe a sneaky drink from the hip flask (yeah I saw ya’s)! Lauren arrived in a limo with the girls, and was walked down the aisle by her Dad and Grandad, very special indeed. Chris was all smiles and welled up when he saw his kids and his beautiful bride. A wonderful ceremony by Denise Butler, personal vows (some not appropriate to write here haha), and two people now ecstatic to be married! After some photos at Norah Head, we headed to the reception which included some pretty epic moves as the bridal party entered, followed by a night of fun and dancing.

Mr and Mrs Hitch, it was a real honour to capture you guys getting hitched. A huge congratulations from me and thank you for having me be a part of this fabulous day!

Thomas & Rebecca – Shelly Beach Golf Club:28.9.19

What an absolutely joyous day. I had so much fun with this tribe. I met Bec when she was her sister Kate’s bridesmaid 5 years ago, she had not long been with Tom at that stage. When Bec’s Mum Melinda contacted me about her wedding, I was so excited to be a part of another Charlton wedding – they are a lovely family. I started with Bec and the girls at Kooindah Waters with her wonderful bridesmaids and gorgeous little flower girl Sophie and Alyssa. After here, I headed to the club to meet Tom and get some photos of him and the boys and those all important family ones.

After the ceremony we did some photos near the ceremony spot,  jumped in the buggy’s and went for a hoon up the course. We got back for me to take some photos of the room before the guests entered – this is one of my favourite venues, it always looks absolutely stunning. I then headed out with the newlyweds for some photos right before the sun went down.

Bec and Tom – thanks for making my job so easy with your big smiles and to the bridal party who laughed and smiled while we were out on the course and freezing to death – you guys were fabulous.

Enjoy the slideshow below – I will upload these images and a few more guests shots to my facebook page where you can share from there.
