Matt & Niki – Mayfield Baptist Church & Customs House, Newcastle

When you knock on the wrong door and meet the person you’re going to marry. That’s the story of Matt and Niki, and I love hearing stories like this.

Matt and Niki were married at the church they attend – Mayfield Baptist Church. With Covid suddenly putting new restrictions on us the day before and my area being in lockdown, it became a tad stressful trying to find out if I was actually able to photograph their wedding. With lots of searches, and weddings able to go ahead, I was set to go. Thank Goodness!

I started with Matt and his lovely family and groomsmen in Cooks Hill, Newcastle. Afterwards I headed over to Niki and the girls at Maryville. A short trip to the church where they made it all official, surrounded by family and friends watching on, a show of love for each other and for their faith, Covid didn’t stop these two from feeling all the emotions and their love really does show in their photos. We headed to Blackout Reserve for bridal party portraits, and back to ‘The Station’ Newcastle where I may have laid down on the ground to get my shot (such a good look), and into Customs House for their reception and what an awesome first dance!
