hashtag eringetsmitched! Yes they did! They got hitched at the picturesque ‘The Stables of Somersby’. I was so looking forward to shooting this wedding, once I met these two I knew it was going to be a stress free day with lots of fun and laughs. I was also looking forward to shooting at this amazing venue. I checked it earlier in the week and met the lovely Louise the owner who showed me around. Her and her husband Andrew have transformed their property into the most wonderful wedding venue – so quiet and relaxing. A real country feel. There is also a huge loft above the barn and this is where Erin and the girls got ready.
Erin and Mitch met when she was working at a newsagency and Mitch would come in to get his paper (or was it to secretly see Erin!?!). He asked her out for coffee, at first it wasn’t a great time – she was busy with studies, but he persisted and now look at them – a house together, with their much loved fur babies (check out the donut wall with their photo!), now married – about to embark on another journey.
I truly had the best day with these guys and their bridal party – everyone was so happy and fun loving. The speeches from the parents were so heartfelt and the speech from Best Man Jarrod had everyone in stitches! Mitch finished off his speech with a poem and all I can remember from it was something about their dogs and a bone – everyone there knows what I’m talking about!
Congratulations Burtons – I hope you absolutely love the slideshow I’ve put together for you and Erin, I hope you’ve had a brilliant 30th birthday today.
PS – No I didn’t ask the groomsmen to hold hands – they took that upon themselves ;).
